Blood Pressure Testing Week
The Blood Pressure Association – bpassoc.org.uk – will be holding the National Blood Pressure Testing Week during the period 8th – 14th September 2008.
Part of the ongoing “Know Your Numbers” campaign to highlight of the importance of regularly checking blood pressure the Blood Pressure Testing Week aims not only to raise awareness of the effects of high blood pressure but also to encourage more frequent measuring – both in surgeries and at home.
The bpassoc hopes to better last years blood pressure testing week by supporting and promoting thousands of “Pressure Stations” throughout the UK.
Testing will be carried out by qualified professionals in medical centres, community halls, chemists – both national pharmacy chains and independent chemists along with Occupational Health departments and public event in supermarkets and shopping centres.
